Jude did a lot of research for the Half Breed. She was quite obsessed with Legolas from Lord of the Rings back in 2003 and was inspired to write quite a few fanfics about him. That obsession eventually led her to write fanfics about Orlando's other characters, but she is the most proud of this story. She scoured the LOTR book for any reference to Legolas. She even corresponded with her uncle, who read the book several times as a child. She wanted to remain true to Tolkien's vision when she wrote her fanfic that took place after the war of the ring and ended with Legolas sailing for the undying lands. It is also the continuation of the Unofficial Interlude fanfic. If you'd like to read it, you'll have to join the forum and post at least once.
