The sounds of women sobbing filled the hall as the men tried to bring order out of the chaos.

"The children say it's nothing, but it wants them back," one of the men angrily shouted, "so what can we do to protect them?"

"Only your daughter said that," one of the women responded suspiciously from the other side of the room, "maybe she's lying."
Angry murmers filled the air as the man and woman glared at each other, and his response was barely heard, "No, but she's different."
Silence followed his softly spoken reply as he grimly nodded, tears misting his eyes, "she's not my little girl anymore."
"What if none of them are our children anymore?" a hushed unfamiliar voice sounded from the doorway.
Everyone turned to look at the stranger, a woman with dirty hair and tattered clothes but with undeniable strength and presence.
